Tim Lawson

Sports Massage & Remedial Therapist

As a qualified Sports Massage Therapist and certified Personal Trainer, Tim takes a 360-degree approach to soft tissue care. His philosophy is that lasting recovery requires a balance between hands-on treatment and functional movement rehabilitation. He doesn’t just work on the symptom; he look for the underlying cause of dysfunction to prevent recurring injuries and improve performance.

Whether you are recovering from a specific injury, managing chronic pain, or aiming to enhance your mobility, Tim tailors every session to your body’s unique needs using a blend of deep tissue, myofascial release, and neuromuscular techniques. With his background in PT, Tim often integrates targeted corrective exercises into your treatment plan, providing you with the tools to take charge of your own recovery journey.

Tim’s goal is to help you move better, feel stronger, and perform at your best, physically and mentally.

When you’re trusting someone with your recovery, experience and training matter. Tim Lawson holds a qualification in Level 4 Sports & Clinical Massage Therapy. That means he’s not just offering a massage. He’s trained to:

Every session is guided by anatomy, physiology, and movement science — not guesswork.

The Myth: You must endure intense pain during a sports massage for it to fix your muscles.

The Reality: Excessive pain causes your body to tense up and guard the muscle, which works against the treatment. While deep pressure can feel intense, I work with you to ensure I stay within your comfort tolerance.

The Myth: If you do not play competitive sports, you have no reason to book a sports massage.

The Reality: Anyone with soft tissue tension and injuries can benefit. Office workers with desk-related neck stiffness, tight shoulders from posture, or general stress tension benefit just as much as athletes or gym-goers.

Light movement is fine and often beneficial. You can usually return to strenuous exercise after 24 hours depending on the intensity of the treatment.

I use a wide variety of techniques. These include gentle soft tissue release, passive stretching, and muscle energy techniques.

You are welcome to bring a chaperone to the appointment. Not only will this reduce anxiety and give you confidence to attend, the chaperones can also help you remember post treatment care instructions.
